Short Films
This collection features narrative and experimental short films I created through academic coursework and independent exploration. Each project reflects a strong focus on visual storytelling, structure, and concept-driven filmmaking. These works demonstrate versatility across writing, directing, cinematography, and post-production, and showcase a continuing interest in how film can evoke emotion, build tension, and communicate ideas.
Dreaming
Winner of the 2023 Geneva Downtown Film Festival Audience Choice Award
“Dreaming” is about a troubled young man at a cross road grappling with his identity, relationships, and future. Exacerbated by the tumultuous times we live in today, he begins to experience difficulty coping - but how much of it is reality or just in his head and will he ever reach a resolution.
In this project, I had the opportunity to take on multiple roles, including director, producer, cinematographer, and editor. I wrote the script and storyboarded the film, crafting the narrative from concept to completion. Additionally, I did the sound design and color correction in post production.
Filmed on a Fujifilm X-T50 Camera and edited using Davinci Resolve.

This short film delves into the relationship between a son and his father, an architect. Exploring themes of identity, inspiration, and legacy, the film takes the viewer on a personal journey to uncover what it truly means to be both an architect and a father.
For this film, I developed the premise, directed, wrote, and narrated the story, utilizing archival footage and photographs.

Puzzle Films
Created as a senior capstone project in a Video Essay course, this piece examines the narrative structure of Citizen Kane, focusing on the film’s recurring jigsaw puzzle motif. Through a detailed analysis of theme, structure, and cinematic technique, the project argues for Citizen Kane’s classification as a “puzzle film.” Responsibilities included conceptual development, research, clip selection, narration writing, and editing, resulting in a cohesive and compelling critical study of the film.

The Rose
Produced during a week-long intensive program at the New York Film Academy in 2016, this short, non-dialogue film presents a love story set against the tragic events of September 11. The piece utilizes visual storytelling to convey emotion, connection, and loss without spoken words. Responsibilities included directing, cinematography, and editing, shaping the project from concept to final cut.

Lost in Time
Created as the final project for an experimental cinema course in my junior year, this short film adapts Alfred Hitchcock’s “bomb under the table” analogy to explore suspense and audience awareness. Framed through a baseball metaphor, the narrative follows two characters in conversation while a bomb sits openly between them, amplifying tension through their continued obliviousness. Responsibilities included writing, directing, filming, and editing.
